We All Fall Short
None of us are perfect and we all fall short of being a good person, regardless of how hard we try to live a good life. The Bible says in Romans 3:23 “For all have sinned and all fall short of the glory of God”.
This “falling short” was passed down to us through Adam’s disobedience to God when man was first created. Because of this, none of us can become who God designed us to be without first accepting Jesus Christ, who fixed our “falling short”.
Jesus Died On The Cross For You
The Bible says in Romans 5:8 “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” This is awesome news! God loves us with such a strong love that He sent His only Son to die in our place even though we were separated from Him and we don’t deserve it.
Getting saved (or born again) means that you accept Jesus as the Lord of your life and you believe that He died for you on the cross and God raised Him from the dead. It’s having Christ take permanent resident in your heart and life.
Romans 10:9-10 “If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.” (New Living Translation)
Are You Ready To Accept Him?
If you’d like to have this relationship with Christ, it’s as simple as praying this prayer and believing in your heart…
“Dear Lord Jesus, I ask you to come into my life and forgive me of my sins. I believe you died for me and rose again to give me new life. Right now, I turn from the way I’ve been living and open my heart and life to you. I confess you Jesus as the Lord and Savior of my life. Thank you for saving me. Amen.”
